Application Note 280

uVision Lab for the STM32F746G-Discovery Board

This hands-on lab demonstrates various examples with the STMicroelectronics STM32F7 Family devices and Keil MDK Version 5. The Blinky, RTX-Blinky and DSP Sine examples show Keil MDK features such as debugging with Serial Wire Viewer and ETM instruction trace to demonstrate Performance Analysis, Code Coverage and Hard Fault detection. You will also learn how to create projects with STM32CubeMX, Keil Software Packs, MDK Middleware or ST Standard Peripheral Libraries. All examples are compliant to Cortex Microcontroller Software Interface Standard (CMSIS v4). Memory reads and writes and the RTX Kernel Awareness Viewer using the uVision debugging tools are shown.

An STMicroelectronics STM32F746G-DISCOVERY Board and USB A to microB cable are needed. The application note explains how to install the required drivers for the on-board ST-Link/V2 debug adapter.
